- This is my 6th year teaching at JMU. In addition to teaching in the classroom, I spend many hours consulting in the University Writing Center, which I find to be very rewarding . In my (little) spare time, I enjoy watching movies with my husband and taking my chihuahua puppy on long walks. I'm also crazy about traveling and have been throughout Europe and also in West Africa. I particularly enjoy learning about different cultures and debating important issues. That's not to say that I don't also enjoy a brainless game of Wii bowling. I'm always open to talking to students, and I hope to aid you in your quest to becoming a better writer.
